Washington State Legislature: Hearing on SB 5844 February 2014
From a Pacific North Westside faculty member classified/misclassified as adjunct/part-time:
"In case anyone is interested, I just watched the video of yesterday's hearing about Washington State Senate Bill 5844, taking these notes while doing so.
In summary, SB 5844 proposes a change to state law to allow adjuncts to form their own union and to bar membership with tenured faculty on the grounds that there is no community of interests--"
